Overall Performance
Our performance is the subject of close public scrutiny. Our frontline delivery is measured against key performance indicators such as the numbers of accidental and deliberate fires, road traffic collisions and fire injuries and fatalities.
In addition to these operational indicators, we have set our own corporate priorities to ensure we remain focused on our ultimate goal.

Station Performance
Station personnel have a key role in delivering the mission, aims and strategic objectives of Tayside Fire and Rescue. Station Plans therefore detail how station personnel will contribute towards the strategic priorities of Tayside Fire and Rescue and provides them with the basis for their work each year.
Station Plans take cognisance of the key drivers influencing Tayside Fire and Rescue's activities, such as:
- The Fire (Scotland) Act 2005
- The Fire and Rescue Framwork for Scotland
- The Scottish Reform Agenda
- The Local Government (Scotland) Act 2003
- The development of Single Outcome Agreements
Most of these drivers require Tayside Fire and Rescue to collaborate with the wider community to reduce risk and improve community safety; so wherever possible, the initiatives undertaken to support each Station Plan will be underpinned by partnership working.
