Procurement Manager

Salary Range £32,189 - £35,209 (pro rata)

Part time - 22 hours

Tayside Fire and Rescue have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Procurement Manager.  You will be required to ensure best value in the provision of goods and services through the development of strategic procurement policies and the effective management of a co-ordinated purchasing and supply service.

You will develop and implement procurement strategies, lead in tender exercises, drive value for money improvement in existing contracts and negotiate with suppliers.

With a relevant business or CIPS qualification, you will have purchasing experience and knowledge of e-procurement procedures along with experience of developing procurement policy and the delivery of procurement strategies. You should also have knowledge of the McClelland report and its implications and be conversant with relevant procurement legislation.

An effective communicator you will have the ability to work on your own as well as part of a team.  It is essential you are self-motivated and can work with minimum supervision.
