


Retained/Volunteer Firefighters

Are you age 18 or over and live or work within 3 miles of your local community fire station?
Do you want to do something worthwhile and fulfilling?
Are you self disciplined with good communication skills and work well within a team?
Tayside Fire and Rescue seeks women and men to answer emergency service calls in Montrose, Brechin, Kirriemuir, Carnoustie, Auchterarder, Comrie, Dunkeld, Alyth, Kinloch Rannoch, Kirkmichael and Glenshee.
24 hours a day, 365 days a year Tayside Fire and Rescue relies on individuals to respond to emergency service calls across the diverse communities we serve.
Retained/Volunteer Firefighters are women and men who live and/or work in their local community, in addition to responding to emergency calls they are paid to attend training nights, community fire safety events and maintenance periods.
As part of the selection process candidates are required to undertake physical and medical examinations.
