Retained/Volunteer Firefighters

Angus and Perthshire Area
We are particularly keen to receive applications from people who live and/ or work in Balmossie, Kirriemuir, Auchterarder, Comrie, Dunkeld, Aberfeldy, Pitlochry, Alyth, Kinloch Rannoch and Glenshee.

Retained/ Volunteer Firefighters are men and women who live and/ or work in their local community and are paid to attend training nights, community fire safety events, maintenance periods, as well as their attendance at emergency incidents.

Initial training and continued development opportunities will be provided.

Tayside Fire and Rescue can receive calls to assist the public at any time of the day or night, 24 hours a day 365 days a year and relies on the availability of its retained and volunteer firefighters in certain areas to respond to these calls.

We are looking for women and men who:

• Live or work within a few minutes drive of their County Town Fire Station
• Are age 18 or over
• Have the ability to complete the practical tests and interviews
• Are interested in helping their community
