Role

The role of the modern Fire and Rescue service has evolved recently to allow a more proactive approach in fighting fires. Prevention is now the main aim of Tayside Fire and Rescue with a dedicated team working to provide education for various groups to make our communities safer.

The traditional role of emergency response including firefighting, rescues from road traffic collisions and other scenarios is still a major part of our work and we have well equipped and highly trained staff available to deal with these incidents.

Tayside Fire and Rescue works with its partner agencies to provide aproactive approach to prevention of incidents and the safe and speedy resolution of any incidents which do occur.
