Kirkmichael Fire Station (Volunteer)

Built in 1997, Kirkmichael Fire Station is located at Bannerfield Park to the west side of Kirkmichael village.

The Fire Station has one front line appliance, a fully equipped Water Tender Ladder, and is staffed by volunteer personnel. The current establishment for the station is a Crew Manager and 11 firefighters with the majority working and living in the community of Kirkmichael. The station personnel are the main asset and in addition to responding to emergencies they undertake a range of Community Safety activities that are primarily aimed at preventing deaths and injuries in fires.

The geographical area served by Kirkmichael is mainly rural and includes small shops and other small commercial properties, small residential areas and a large farming community.
