FREE Home Fire Safety Visits

Tayside Fire & Rescue are now offering FREE home fire safety visits to everyone in the area. Just call us on 0300 123 9998 or text ‘Check’ to 61611 or fill in the form on this page. Your local fire station will then call you back to arrange a time and date that suits you. Alternatively you can phone your local fire station direct to arrange a home safety visit.

During the visit firefighters will check each room of your house with you, helping you to make sure your house is safe. If you don’t have a smoke alarm we’ll fit one free of charge.

Cooking, smoking materials, candles, any electrical items – TV, washing machine, PC, hair tongs, mobile phone charger etc could cause a fire.

But what are the chances of fire really happening to you? Did you know that in Scotland we’re up to 2 or 3 times more likely to have a fire than in England or Wales?
