Happy To Translate
To ensure that all the communities served by Tayside Fire and Rescue are receiving the best service possible we have joined a scheme called “Happy to Translate.”
The Happy to Translate scheme provides training and materials which assist in situations where there are language barriers. The service extends to translating documents into the appropriate language and setting up a meeting with a translator if necessary. The range of languages covered is impressive with 102 different languages and dialects catered for.
Training has been given initially to all reception and general office staff and will be assessed for it’s suitability for frontline firefighting staff.
This scheme, in conjunction with a pack produced to assist operational crews, will ensure members of our communities who do not speak English as their first language can have easier access to all the services offered by Tayside Fire and Rescue.
To access any of our Fire Safety Advice leaflets please visit our Community Fire Safety pages where you will find several leaflets relating to different topics and in different languages.
Should you require any of the information contained in this website translated into another language, Tayside Fire and Rescue will be happy to provide this service to you free of charge. Please contact us for further information and advice about the Happy to Translate scheme.
