Tayside Fire and Rescue has a small information and performance management section whose role is dealing with all aspects of information collation and dissemination including Website and intranet content, management of the internal electronic document library, media liaison and dealing with press enquiries and press releases and Performance Management.

One of the main functions of this section is the preparation of corporate documents for public circulation and viewing. These documents form part of an annual cyclical process beginning with a consultation document which assists in informing our stakeholders of what Tayside Fire and Rescue proposes to do in the forthcoming year. Once the consultation process is complete and the views of our stakeholders have been taken into account Tayside Fire and Rescue will produce an annual Action Plan, this plan details how Tayside Fire and Rescue will set about achieving their aims. At the end of each financial year an Annual Public Performance Report is produced which links both the above documents providing an overview of what we said we would do and, what we have done. The report also provides an indication of how we are performing based on a historical statistical comparison with previous years data.
