Guaranteed Interview Scheme (support posts only)

As part of Tayside Fire and Rescue’s commitment, as a disability symbol user, all applicants who meet the minimum criteria in the person specification and who apply under the scheme, are guaranteed a job interview. Due to numerous stages in wholetime/retained/volunteer firefighter recruitment and recruitment for firefighters (control) it is not possible to guarantee an interview for people who meet the minimum standards for the role.

Tayside Fire and Rescue is committed to meeting its duties under the Equality Act 2010.

Chapter 2 Part 20 of the Equality Act 2010 states the duties that an employer has to take, which are reasonable, to prevent any arrangements being made which place a disabled employee or applicant at a disadvantage compared to a non-disabled applicant.

Adjustments can be made at any time during recruitment and selection procedures and through employment.
