Support Staff

Who are Support Staff and What are Their Roles?
Support Staff undertake many important functions within Tayside Fire and Rescue and cover a wide range of duties, including for example: ICT Support, CAD Operators, Clerical Assistants, Workshop Staff, Janitors and Cooks.

Terms and Conditions
The Terms and Conditions for each support staff post is governed by nationally agreed terms. Tayside Fire and Rescue also offers comparable salaries and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme as well as training and some promotion opportunities. Where possible flexible working arrangements have been introduced in order to recognise the importance of family friendly policies.
